North Bali is a serene region where lush green mountains meet the deep blue sea. Far from the crowds of the south, the coastline is dotted with black-sand beaches, sacred temples and fishing villages, and the interior with waterfalls and rice terraces.
It is also where the island is investing. A new North Bali Airport is planned only nine kilometres from the site, alongside a proposed toll road and railway linking the north to the south. Sambangan sits at the centre of that shift, an emerging gem full of untapped potential.
